  • As followers of Christ this is so important, we are to be the light and salt of the world and people will see us and by our attitude can they read who we really are.

  • Thanks for the push on attitude, pastor Ron. I am great believer on attitude.
    Yup! Our attitude can —
•make a difference in our approach to life
•make a difference in our relationships with people
•make a difference in how we view challenges
Also, I think our attitude cannot —
    •substitute for competence
    •substitute for experience
    •change the facts
    •substitute for personal growth

I believe that Viktor E. Frankl (the Austrian neurologist and psychiatrist and the Holocaust survivor and author of the book ‘Man's Search for Meaning’) is one of the good examples of great attitude exhibited during his imprisonment under Nazi regime.

Do I need mine checked today?!? Are you kidding?! I tend to get these subtle ( some not so subtle) reminders every day, to not only check my attitude but, to align it with God's word! I work with Youth, need I say more? LOL!

Even if we get bad attitude thats uncalled for, meeting it with a good attitude can often turn things around…for the better. Thanks for the simple reminder Ron!

great reminder.. how you approach everything makes all of the difference. The right mentality and body language changes everything about an interaction – great reminder for this friday! The community for the faithful has been discussing something similar here: http://community.bibleseries.tv

I think that you are right; that attitude is key. Unfortunately, I think we live in a world where that's not enough. I think that we, or at least I, live in a world where those above us and around us or who we serve, can too easily destroy a good attitude. If I step up and do a good job and have a positive attitude, my boss is very likely to say Excellent or Good Job; which is nice. Unfortunately, if one time out of a hundred I don't perform up to expectations, even if the attitude is good, I'm likely to be called on it as though I fail this way every time.

I have a wife whom I love very much, but she's not so much that way to me; and I've told that story here before. I can bust my butt being the best husband in the world to her and she'll say Thank You. However, let me fail even once or have an attitude that isn't just 100% and boom it's as though nothing has changed and I'm still, in her mind, the pain I once was.

I can do my job, which has a large internal customer support part perfectly day after day for months or years, but let me have one time where I just didn't give 100% and that person is talking to my boss and then go back to point number 1.

Attitude is key, it's just not enough; and that's sad.

Attitude & perspective. A good reminder. Thank you. “…be clear minded, self controlled, so that you can pray” 1 P. 4:7

Great post Ron! I agree and attitude starts with a renewing of the mind. Romans 12:1-2 say's it best. Take care & God bless you brother! — and I like your attitude!

Loved this. So simple but a much needed reminder. What hit me is that we all need an attitude adjustment all day long & over the course of our day. At any point our day, our attitude can change – for better or for worse. May we become good stewards of our attitude. Thank you for sharing this!

unfortunately good attitudes seem to have gone the way of our Sunday go to meetin' clothes. most people just don't wear their best most days (or perhaps they do?) perhaps that's all they have ! sort of scary.

I really think God looks at the heart first though and that's the “best” He's looking for first. 1 Samuel 16:24.I've seen many wearing the best suits on Sunday that have terrible attitudes. But I agree!

Very true Ron. Thanks for the reminder.
