The Old Testament Leads the Way to Christmas
Last week in my message at Grace Community Church, I shared how the Israelites spent their lifetime waiting for a Messiah…the waited…and waited…and waited…
I began this message in a strange way. I came on stage, got settled in my normal place, and stared at the people…for minutes. (I’m told one service was 5 minutes in length…the other two about 3 minutes.) It was awkward, uncomfortable, and seemed like it lasted forever. Some couldn’t stand the silence and in a couple services they shouted out to me “Merry Christmas” or “Are you okay Ron?” or “Is this the message?”. I then started the message. We spared you the torture…but you should know that our culture doesn’t handle waiting…silence…very well. Imagine living in the Old Testament days.
I hope God uses this message in your life…
How are you at waiting? Are you a patient person? What are you currently waiting for God to do in your life?
