We are so excited to have officially launched our college ministry to Austin Peay State University.

This football season we have been able to participate in tailgate alley. In an attempt to get others involved, we have a fun event coming up at our tent.

We are challenging you to a Chili Cook-off.

Do you have what it takes?

Here are the details:

Date: Saturday, October 24 – APSU vs EKU
Time: 4pm (chili should get there by 3:30)

Location: Parking lot in tailgate alley, between the Dunn center and the football stadium. Look for our black tent that has a red Grace Community Church sign

How to enter: Email HERE.

Voting happens the day of the event.  (I don’t know the judges, but for donations to my favorite charity I will see if I can swing votes. JUST KIDDING!)

This is a great opportunity to see college ministry in action and invest in college students at Austin Peay.  Come join the fun.

Do you have any other ideas of things we can do for our college students?

Freebies are always attractive at such events!

Lay some nails(railroad ties) ….the big ones out since Christmas is coming with a message attached. They can then be hung on the Christmas tree. It goes like this…..
    The Christmas Nail

It is to be hung on a sturdy branch near the trunk, that will hold such a spike without being noticed by well-wishers dropping by to admire one’s tinseled tree. Understood only be the heart that knows it’s significance.

    It is hung with thought,

The Christmas trr but foreshadows the Christ-tree which only He could decorate for us, ornamented with nails as this.

We hand one on our tree every Christmas. My daughter, now 19 brought it home from the church school she attended when she was 4 yrs old. It helps to remind us when we are putting up the tree to keep Christ in Christmas!
