Limiting Annoying Emails From Facebook

logo_facebookI am always amazed when I hear someone complain about Facebook because they do not like getting all the annoying emails in their Inbox.  Some people apparently avoid spending updating their Facebook page because they do not want to get an email every time someone comments on their update.

There is a simple way to cut down on the emails Facebook sends you.  I only receive an email when someone sends me an email through Facebook.  Everything else; status comments, picture comments, friend invites, etc., I only see when I login to Facebook.  This keeps my Inbox clean and my Blackberry from vibrating as much.

If you want to limit the emails you receive follow these simple steps:

  • Login to Facebook
  • Click on “Settings” in the top right corner
  • Click on the “Notifications” tab
  • Click “Off” beside everything you do not want to receive an email about  (Sometimes there are more hidden at the bottom of the list.  Look for a link.)
  • Click “Save Changes”

That is it.  This is just another way to simplify your Facebook and social media experience.
