I like Teri's remark. Also, I feel any man who claims to be a Christian would not stand for an artist to render a painting of myself coming out of a voting booth, with a crown of thorns on my head, arms stretched out, looking as if I was being crucified on a cross, and with the Presidential seal in the background! I also came across a figure of our President as Jesus with palms up riding on a donkey. The portrait was going to be unveiled on President Obama's 100th day in office but believe it or not the artist got so many angry reactions, the artist did not go through with the unveiling.
I first saw the portrait of Obama on my sister's blog page. After that, I went online to make sure it was true and that is when I came across the figure on the donkey. To me, my opinion, if Pres. Obama was such a Christian man, he would go to that artist and tell him he appreciates his talent but DO NOT portray me as Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. I really get angry when my Lord is talked about or painted in such a blasphemous matter. How does God bless a man or a nation who condones such?!
