Ron, it's a wonderful and incredibly relevant post. I've felt for a while a shift in what God has in store for me. I have voiced my thoughts to you and to others friends within our body. Above all else I am His and then I am my husband's helpmate. I believe God has a plan to mesh the two beautifully. It's that place that I find peace not worrying about tomorrow's in MD or TN cause God is everywhere.

"I do not work for Grace Community Church. I work for a person and His name is Jesus Christ." How cheeky! I LOVE it! I wish more pastors said and lived this. As the Matt Redmon song goes, "It's all about You, Jesus".

I don't know how you found me (@ZigitMktg), but I'm glad I found you. You can find the non-sterile me @Janeile.

Be blessed!

I agree Cheryl. That was my situation also in the business world as God changed our path a few times. Yes, He does use the undesirable times to move us. One of those times in my life led me to the ministry.

Well said Ron! I suspect these points could also be in line with how God calls people to move in jobs in the corporate/non-profit world, as well - not just church work. This was the case with me, when I left a career in the chamber profession to begin my own business. Peter was in complete agreement, though it was a place where both had to walk in faith because of the unknown.

The other thought I had was that sometimes people are so set in their comfortable (or at least familiar) places, that God uses less than desirable circumstances (job loss/firings, etc.) to move people to new places.

Can I tell you how wonderful to read of someone who, as a pastor, is willing to say to his church family "I don't work for you, I work for Jesus." Bless you.Stay strong in the wonder and truth of that! Blessings.
