Quick Ministry Evaluation

By Ron Edmondson on Wednesday, January 7th, 2009 | No Comments »

Here is a quick, easy-to-do method of evaluating just about any area of your life.  It is really the “Jesus model” of ministry evaluation, but I think it works well also to determine your effectiveness in other areas, such as marriage, parenting, friendships or work.

Here is the formula:

Step One:

Read Revelation 3:15-16

I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm — neither hot nor cold — I am about to spit you out of my mouth.

Step Two:

Apply that verse to evaluate your heart for whatever you are doing.

Jesus hated mediocrity, so shouldn’t we?  In what areas of your life are you applying a half-hearted devotion?
