Happy 4th of July!

I am proud to be an American, where at least I know I’m free!

I was a young man, very active in politics.  I was invited to a birthday party for Ronald Reagan. Don’t be too impressed.  It was a very large event. Lots of people were invited.  (I did get to shake his hand though.)

One of the highlights of the night was a guest appearance by Lee Greenwood singing “God Bless the USA”.  Ronald Reagan had tears over the song.  So did I!

I’m glad to live in a country I am free to criticize, but I’m also thankful it’s the greatest country in the world!  Today I’m thankful for all my military friends and families who serve so I can worship freely, and teach the Gospel to all who care to hear; and thankful for their freedom to listen.  I’ll practice what I do again this Sunday.

Happy 4th!
